Wallbox installation steps
Installation steps
Step 1: Make sure you have how many phases and how many amps per phase
Start by assessing the electrical capacity available for charging electric vehicles in your home. We recommend the help of an electrician for this and the installation.
Note: If you plan to increase the amperage in the future, you can safely buy a charger that is larger than the capacity of your home, as you can set the power of the chargers downwards, so you can use the total power of your charger after the ampere increase.
Step 2: Buy a charger
Choose and buy an electric charger. If you want to apply for government support, make sure you choose the right model.
Step 3: Choose a location for your charger
Choose a location for the electric charger, ideally near a parking space and protected from the elements.
You can mount the chargers on the wall or choose a column on which you can place 1 or 2 chargers, depending on the model.
Step 4: Install the charger
Install and connect your new electric charging station. When connecting, pay attention to the correct cross-section of the cable, the correct connection of the fault current and Fi relay!
Step 5: Ongoing maintenance
It is important to regularly check and maintain the charger and its connections to ensure that they are in good condition. This may include checking for wear and cleaning the connectors. Your electrician can advise how often this should be done.
